"My name is Ian Kerr and I have lived in Fullerton (Irvine South) virtually my whole life.
For decades I've watched labour/SNP councils passing on Tory cuts. I've watched our services being slashed and poverty and desperation go through the roof. That's why I'm standing in Irvine South ward as part of the Scottish Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC). I played an important role locally and nationally in the defeat of the poll tax and similarly in stopping the bedroom tax as part of my local tenants group. I helped set up the Fullerton road safety campaign and I was a co-founder of the campaign to save the Magnum. ONLY TUSC candidates reject all compromises with tory austerity and cuts. We call for proper wage rises for workers and decent levels of income for those on pensions and benefits to combat the horrendous rise in living costs so on Thursday May 5th vote for real change.
