I'm Lucas Grant and I'm standing in the Council Elections for the Northfield and Mastrick North wards. Years of underfunding and mismanagement by Aberdeen City Council has left Aberdeen's vital services and infrastructure severely underfunded and in disrepair. Within Northfield and Mastrick this is no different. The state of our vital services is unacceptable: One example being Northfield Library a vital hub for many only now being reopened nearly two years after the damage originally being done to it. This can't continue. Scottish TUSC is standing on a platform of fully funding our public services. The hammering of people with cuts to all areas of life and the punishing of the most vulnerable with tax increases is not the answer. The fuel price and tax hikes can't continue. Nationalising the energy companies and reinvesting the profits directly into our local areas is essential. We need a programme of proper council housing and a better standard of living for all. Vote Scottish TUSC number one on the fifth of May.
